A discussion based event, it began from the importance and significance of the current day prospect of religious traditions and progressed to the religious texts and their importance. Several parameters such as their interpretation, value of personal interpretation, morality and ethics prevailed throughout the discussion.

The discussion then turned to the impact of religion in the modern world. Many pressing issues such as communal fights, religious disharmony, political gains, the rationality of religion, etc were thought over and articulately presented.

Something extremely noteworthy is the fact that despite extremely contrasting beliefs and ideologies, the discussion remained professional, civil, and positively thought-provoking throughout the duration of the event.

We were very happy with the quality of the discussion and look forward to organising such Soapboxes in the future as well. This event was a huge success!
