Degree Equivalence and Recognition by Indian Universities/Institutes
The undergraduate and graduate degrees awarded at ISBF are internationally recognised degrees awarded by the University of London. The final degree includes the University of London logo and signature of the Vice Chancellor, and indicates London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE) as the lead college. The University of London (UoL) degrees have been granted equivalence with the degrees awarded by Indian universities such as University of Delhi, University of Mumbai and University of Calcutta. Many universities under the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) deem the undergraduate degree from University of London as equivalent to their postgraduate degree. In the recent past, ISBF students have successfully secured admission to the postgraduate programmes offered at various institutes of excellence (based in India) such as the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad; IIM Shillong; and Madras School of Economics (MSE).
However, since some Indian colleges and government job applications may insist on a UGC recognised undergraduate degree, ISBF offers all undergraduate students the option to enrol for a UGC-recognised degree programme with IGNOU. Completing this programme will ensure that students meet the eligibility criteria for any government jobs and postgraduate programmes in India.
Mountbatten Institute
The Mountbatten Institute, founded in 1984, aims at fostering international and cross cultural understanding. The institute enables experiential education, practical training and residence abroad, and provides opportunities for personal growth and professional development. ISBF has been affiliated with the Mountbatten Institute since 2011. This affiliation gives our students the unique opportunity to take up oneyear international work placements in London and New York. This oneyear work placement gives them exposure to highly challenging work environments and an international corporate culture while working with investment banks such as Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, UBS and Barclays.
