Career Services Division

In a highly competitive employment landscape, with numerous talented candidates vying for the same few coveted spots in the industry, being recruited by a reputed firm is challenging. The Career Services Division (CSD) at ISBF is dedicated to helping our students successfully navigate this challenge. Some of the key activities undertaken by the CSD include:

Campus Placements

The CSD leverages a vast network of alumni and employers across the world to ensure that our students have access to the best professional opportunities. Every year, ISBF attracts leading global organisations such as Ernst & Young, Citibank, KPMG, Deutsche Bank, S&P Capital IQ, Ameriprise, and several others for campus placements. Regular sessions and workshops are conducted to ensure that students are well prepared to take on the rounds of written tests, group discussions and interviews, and secure their places in these esteemed organisations.

One-year International Work Placement

Students can apply for one-year international work placements in New York and London. Such opportunities give them an exposure to challenging work environments and the international corporate culture, as they work with leading multinational corporations such as Morgan Stanley, UBS, Barclays and Thomson Reuters. Over the years, several ISBF students have successfully completed one-year international programmes, acquiring formidable work experience and global professional network.

Internships and Industry Projects

Students pursuing three-year undergraduate courses at ISBF do not have to wait till graduation to gain professional experience. At the end of their first year, students are encouraged to take up summer internships. The CSD works to identify relevant internships and enables students to apply for and secure these opportunities. ISBF students have successfully completed summer internships with leading organisations such as Tech Mahindra, Bharti Walmart, Blackrock, and Ernst & Young. Such early exposure to corporate work environments helps students relate academic concepts to actual industry problems. This ability to form swift connections between the theoretical and the practical gives them an added advantage during their final placements.

In addition, ISBF students also participate in industry projects. This gives them the opportunity to contribute to active projects being carried out by different organisations. This is a great learning experience that provides them valuable industry exposure. It also helps them make the transition from the classroom to the corporate environment.

Enabling Students to Become Professionals

ISBF works towards making its students employable from the very first day of their programmes. The CSD has several processes in place to ensure that students enhance their employability skills. We host regular quizzes, mock interviews, as well as stress management and personality development workshops. Students also have the opportunity to engage with industry leaders at various guest lectures, seminars and industry visits organised by ISBF. These events, in conjunction with the academic pedagogy at ISBF, help them develop into consummate professionals.

The fact that ISBF students are working with some of the most reputed companies in the world is testimony to the hard work and commitment of the CSD. We are immensely proud to see our alumni succeed in diverse roles, in companies across the globe.
