BSc (Hons) Business & Management

Programme Overview

The London School of Economics (LSE), which has developed this Business & Management programme, is ranked 10th in the world for these domains (QS 2020). This makes it one of the top programmes if you aspire to lead an enterprise – whether as a businessperson or as a manager – in dynamic global business environments.

This programme helps you develop a robust understanding of the core functional areas of today’s enterprise, such as accounting, international business, marketing, corporate finance and human resource management. You can build on this by pursuing courses like core management, organisation theory and psychology, or diversify your skill-set with cutting-edge and industry-relevant electives like e-business, social media, entrepreneurship and business analytics.

Taught through interactive lectures, case studies and flipped classrooms, and assessed through quizzes, hackathons, interdisciplinary projects and presentations, this programme will equip you to apply diverse principles and techniques to manage resources – people, products and materials. Such a management education will set you up for an MBA/Master’s programme from a world-leading institution, as well as to excel in exciting corporate sector roles or start your own venture and strive to become the next ‘unicorn’.

Note: The BSc (Honours) Business & Management (or “B&M”) programme is comparable with the Bachelor of Business Administration (or “BBA”) programme more commonly offered in India. However, on account of being significantly more analytical and application-oriented, the B&M programme serves as a much better stepping stone (than the BBA) for an MBA, a Master’s in Management or working as a manager or entrepreneur, all of which require high levels of problem-solving ability.
