QUIZLAUREATE, an Intra-college quiz organized by Akademos and successfully led by Mr. Siddhartha Kurapati, Assistant Manager—Communications & Branding took place on 24th September 2021. The theme, centered around the paradigms of EMFSS, aimed at developing analytical and problem-solving skills among participants.

Students participated in teams of 2 and showcased their skills and great teamwork. The questions in the quiz were a mix of General knowledge, World affairs, and academia, presented in the form of audio/video clips and factual narration providing a platform for all-round development.

The event unfolded in 3 Rounds, spread across a time duration of 2 hours with 7 enthusiastic teams. All the questions were displayed by the quizmaster on a PPT.

In Round 1, participants were given 15 questions which were to be answered in a Google form circulated before the round followed by elimination of the lowest-scoring team. The qualifying Teams moved on to the next round- a buzzer round where the fastest buzzing team answered the question. Questions were also passed on to the audience in situations where no team was able to answer a question correctly. Notably, Archit Asawa, a member of the team Thomas Shelby, impressed everyone(including the quizmaster) by consecutively answering questions correctly.  Another lowest-scoring team was eliminated after the buzzer round. The top 5 teams made it to the final round- an engaging and extremely competitive pounce style round (with passing), marking the end of the competition. The students brilliantly answered the questions, which amazed both the quizmaster and the audience.

The participants appreciated the event curated specially for them, and enthusiastically demanded organizing similar quizzes in the future. The overall turnout and the enthusiasm of everyone involved stood as an exceptional source of inspiration and motivation for the organizing team.
