People’s Talk Series 2 Episode 1

Posted on July 17, 2020 by Debating Cell  | Student Speak | Event Report

The second episode of our first podcast series, covering the pandemic and its impact on our lives, discussed the psychological impact the pandemic has had on people as mental health is an important factor in today’s world and secondly, the legal impact and implications the lockdown has on the country.

To cover the topics, we had Afreen Kaur, the Global Youth Ambassador for the Skills for Life Foundation and a Digital Literacy Ambassador at the Honours Colleges of Atlanta, Georgia. Ms. Kaur’s expertise gave the audience an eye opener of how one can get psychologically impacted and made everyone realise how we have become afraid of even shaking hands with our known ones.

Secondly, we had Shakrukh Ali, an advocate in the Supreme Court of India and alum of campus law center in New Delhi. The intellect Mr. Ali had in this field made the audience aware about the legal implications of the lockdown and said that people could have been warned fairly in advance of the lockdown.
