ISBF Model United Nations Conference 2020-21

One of our flagship events over the years has been the ISBF Model United Nations Conference. Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or, MUN. It is an educational simulation in which students can learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations. The ISBF MUN Conference took place on the 21st and 22nd of November, with the tagline “Advance. Elevate. Innovate.”

There were six committees with highly experienced executive board members. The committees discussed a wide range of topics from the impact of the pandemic on the world tourism in the UNWTO to the assassination of Osama Bin Laden in the Presidential Situation Room. The wide range of interesting topics saw some high quality debating among 80+ delegates in different committees. This maintained a high competition amongst the members to win the best delegate and high commendation awards, with a cash prize of INR 6000 and INR 3000 respectively. The Best Delegation award was given to Thapar University. The overall experience was extraordinary!
