Empowering You Campaign

The Empowering You Campaign was started as an attempt by Girl Up Zia to promote and encourage the different talents of people which served as a coping mechanism for them in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic lockdown period. First up, we celebrated those organisations (Project Baala, Quaranchairty etc) who worked tirelessly and relentlessly pro-bono even during the restrictions laid down by the government to provide relief to marginalised groups in our country. It aimed to bring a sense of togetherness amongst all and the freedom to express, which was fulfilled by inviting entries to different categories such as Dance, Photography, Creative Writing, Makeup, Digital Art etc. The winners of each category were announced on the Zia Instagram Page via a post and all participant entries were shared on Instagram Stories. The participants were awarded with a certificate as well. We ended this Campaign by inviting speakers Rai Sengupta, Chahat Pahwa, Kirti Poonia from all walks of life to share their story and their journey to inspire and strike a note with their peers.
