Finally the day had arrived! The day we left for Corbett! Our first college trip of the year. The day began as we all entered the bus at 6 am, still half asleep but brimming with excitement and enthusiasm! The ride was filled with jokes, cards, antakshari and dumb charades! It was an opportunity for the freshers and seniors to bond. Everyone loved the weather! It was partially cold but perfect for outdoor games. No sooner had we had an amazing lunch at the buffet at Wild Exotica, than everyone gathered to play/witness a cricket match. Many people were excited about going fishing, but little did they know that the area had only Monsoon Rivers. But there were many more options available, like table tennis and badminton and soon everyone scattered around the resort to engage in various fun activities – from outdoor games to swimming to playing poker in their rooms! The cold night brought out the best of Corbett. Sitting around the bonfire, gazing at the stars and enjoying the melodious tunes of friends, it was just astounding! Something everyone must experience atleast once in their lifetime!

The second day was our day of the Safari! This is the main attraction of the forest. The 3 hour jeep ride began at 5 am into the vast depths of the jungle, an experience one would not forget. The area is a nature lover’s ultimate paradise – wild and dense, the forest treks start from right outside Corbett Wild & the natural and man-made trails will take you as deep inside as you may dare to go! We did not get to see a tiger, but we did see many other animals such as monkeys, deer, peacocks and were amazed at the beautifully preserved wildlife. This trip was a much needed break! Everyone had a stupendous time at Corbett! The crazy bus journey, the silly games, the safari, the lovely weather, the endless conversations and music by the bonfire, making so many new friends and tons of wonderful memories! Overall, it was an extraordinary college trip adding to our set of memories so beautifully. Livin’ It Up at Corbett www.isbf.edu.in Of Friends, Bonfires, Safaris and Crazy Fun!
