All you need is an appetite” perfectly sums up this year’s ISBF Treat. A platform which is equal parts business and equal parts fun. ISBF Treat or popularly known as iTreat is essentially a business model, which gave the first year students a ephemeral chance to feel the stress, competitiveness and excitement of owning a business; which in this case was of selling food. The entire freshers batch was divided into 2 teams: The Red Team and The Blue Team and the rule of the game was whichever team makes the most profit, wins it all. The blue team, led by Amrit and Vignesh, proudly called itself Poseidon’s Factory after the mighty Greek God of seas. With a trident piercing a hamburger as its logo and ‘Food so good even the Greek Gods wants some’ as its tagline, Poseidon’s Factory provided its diners with lavish yet pocket friendly dishes ranging from the streets of Delhi – Bhel-Puri, Sev-Puri and mini Raj Kachori, from Amchi Mumbai they had freshly made Vada Pavs. They also had a live Dosa counter serving hot and crispy freshly made dosas, the aromas of which were enough to send you to a trip to the South. For people with a sweet tooth there were a number of desserts to indulge in from chocolate mousse, choco- mocha cupcakes to peanut butter desserts. Finally to quench your thirst in the Delhi heat they also had a selection of juices and mocktails each one with a very special twist. The event which took place on 16/09/2016, Friday started with the Red Team bagging more points in their till because of their excellent presentation but very, very soon the blue team caught up to them because of their phenomenal marketing skills.The competition was tough as the competitors were equally good, but it was the active and effective on floor marketing done by the blue team on the day which made Poseidon’s Factory the victors of iTreat’16.
