Amity Law wins Film Making Competition at ISBF Annual Fest ‘Xenia: Rise with Pride’ Hailing Repeal of Section 377

New Delhi, February 12, 2019: Xenia 2019, titled ‘Xenia: Rise with Pride’ celebrated ‘inclusion of all’ through the repealing of Section 377. The two day annual cultural fest of ISBF, held on 7th & 8th February, 2019, was organised at ISBF Lajpat Nagar Campus. The two day event had sessions on music, debate, film making, replicated stock market trading, competition for building a B-Strategy and some on-the-spot events, which included PUBG Tournament, Slam Poetry etc.

Xenia covered a large canvas of events, which were given interesting categories, such as ‘Muses’ for music, ‘Talkathon’ for debates, ‘Trailer Making’ for film making, and ‘Fandom’ for on-the-spot events to name a few.

The winners in the various categories are as below:
Muses:

Indian Solo – Faculty of Music, DU

Western Solo – Sushant School of Art and Architecture

Band – Shaheed Bhagat Singh College

Dr. Jitin Chadha, Founder Director of ISBF, said, “Xenia is not only a fest, but a celebration of talent, ideation and emotions. Students from participating colleges, as well as students of ISBF, who have given more than 100% to organise this celebration for colleges in and around NCR, have really made Xenia a vibrant engagement. ISBF student committee’s theme, ‘Xenia: Rises with Pride’ is a salutation to the repealing of Section 377, which is an embodiment of inclusivity.”

Participating colleges included LSR, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, PGDAV, Venkateswara College, Ramjas College, Amity University, Shri Guru Govind Singh College of Commerce, IP College, Miranda House, Gargi College, Jamia Milia Islamia, JMC, Moti Lal College, Kirori Mal College, Trinity Institute of Professional Studies, Hindu College, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, Jaypee University of Information Technology, Deshbandhu College, Hansraj College.
