Prof. (Dr.) Ravi Shanker is a senior academician in the field of management education with more than four decades of academic experience in India’s premier institutions, like; Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon, School of Management Studies (IGNOU), Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), New Delhi and Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi.

He joined IIFT in 1999 as Professor and also served as Chairperson Graduate Programme (2002-07), International Collaborations&CapacityDevelopment(2007-2009), Management Development Programmes (2011-13) and International accreditations (2017-2020). He superannuated in May 2020 and was re-employed as Professor under as per the UGC scheme.

In 2015, he was assigned the responsibility of AACSB Accreditation of IIFT, which was accorded in 2021. He is currently involved with EQUIS and AMBA accreditation, collaborations with foreign universities under NEP, besides teaching at IIFT.

In January 2009 he was invited by Jaypee Group, to set up its business school in Noida. During a short span of two years he was able bring up the Jaypee Business School to such a level that it is ranked amongst the top 50 business schools in India.
