Academic Experience and Research Interests

Dr.Uma Nagarajan has over 15 years of corporate and academic experience teaching undergraduate, post graduate and executive MBA students in a number of educational institutes in Gurgaon and Delhi. She is currently associated as a visiting faculty with ISBF and ICFAI Business School,Gurgaon.She has also been associated with various institutes including BML Munjal University, IILM University, NorthCap University, Pearl School of Business, United World School of Business, Vedatya Institute,ISB&M, and IBMR. She has extensive teaching experience in external programs of University of Bradford, Oxford Brookes University, London School of Economics, Stratford University and Western International University. She has also been actively involved in designing course curriculum strategy, revamping and upgrading courses, student mentoring, guidance of dissertation projects and industry related project work done by students. Besides this, she has handled corporate training classes at Genpact (Gurgaon). Prior to this, she was working with Ranstad India Pvt Ltd and Citicorp Securities and Investments Ltd in Chennai.

She is an ad hoc reviewer of Emerging Market Case Studies by the Emerald Publishing Group. Her areas of expertise include Management Accounting, Corporate Finance, International Financial Management, Financial Analysis and Valuation, Banking and Financial Services, Management Control Systems and Investment & Wealth Management.

She believes that education is about enhancing the critical and creative thinking abilities of students, igniting a passion for knowledge and fostering the desire to excel.
