Mr. Salman Khurshid

Cabinet Minister of the Ministry of Law and Justice.

Salman Khurshid is a politician who started his political career in 1981 as an Officer on Special Duty in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). A lawyer and a writer who has been elected from Farrukhabad Lok Sabha constituency in the General Election of 2009, Salman Khurshid is presently the Cabinet Minister of the Ministry of Law and Justice and Ministry of Minority Affairs. Prior to this he has been the Union Deputy Minister of Commerce in June 1991, and the Union Minister of State of External Affairs (Jan. 1993-June 1996).


Mr. Sanjeev Bikchandani

Founder & CEO, Info Edge India Ltd. (Naukri.com)

An alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad and an Economics graduate from St. Stephens College, Sanjeev founded Info Edge in 1990. The parent company runs a number of top websites including Naukri.com, India’s leading job site, Jeevansathi.com, 99acres.com, Brijj.com, Allcheckdeals.com, Naukrigulf.com, Shiksha.com, and Firstnaukri.com.

Naukri.com has around 20 million registered resume’s growing at over 10,000 per day and more than 34,000 organisations use its services for hiring people.

Starting off from a quarter above a garage, Info Edge attracted investment from leading venture capitalists - ICICI Venture, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Sherpalo Ventures.  It was the first Internet company to list on the Indian stock Exchange. The company employs around 1500 people and generate revenues close Rs.270 crores. 

Sanjeev is a frequent speaker on entrepreneurship at conferences and at business schools. He has won the “Ernst and Young – Entrepreneur of the Year” award in 2008 for Business Transformation. Sanjeev also won the Dataquest Pathbreaker Award & the Teacher’s Achievement Award for Business in 2008.


Mr. Ashwajit Singh

Chairman, LSE Alumni Association , Delhi MD, Infrastructure Professionals Enterprise (P) Ltd.

A Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary (Gold Medalist), and an alumnus of the London School of Economics, Mr. Ashwajit Singh has provided strong leadership and strategic direction to IPE as the Managing Director. Currently Ashwajit is a part of the promoter group of IPE Global. Prior to this, Mr. Singh promoted a Financial Advisory and Investment Banking company (Allianz Group) from 1990 to 1998. Mr. Singh has over 25 years extensive experience of Corporate and financial advisory and specialises in the core areas of Corporate and Business Strategy, Efficiency enhancement, Municipal Finance and Management, Policy Framework and Institutional Strengthening.


Dr. A. S. Narag

Former Dean, Faculty of Management Studies M.Sc. (O R), ITP (Harvard), Ph.D.

Currently a Professor, Prof. Narag has been the Head and the Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies  and  has guided a number of research students pursuing their Ph.D. programme at FMS.

Prof. Narag has specialised in Quantitative Methods and Management Science. He has authored two books namely “Linear Programming & Decision Making” and “Managerial Decisions through Linear Programming” and has a monograph apart from 40 research papers and articles to his credit. He is life member of the O R Society of India. He has traveled extensively to a number of countries for participation in the international seminars. He has an extensive experience of the University Administration and has been coordinating the affairs of the Foreign Students’ Advisor since 1986. He has also held the portfolio of the dean of Consultancy of the university of Delhi o provide direction and monitor the consultancy assignments undertaken by the teaching faculty of the University of Delhi.


Dr. Sanjay Sehgal

Dean, Department of Financial Studies, South Campus, University of Delhi

Ph.D. - Finance (Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi)

A Professor at the Department of Financial Studies, University of Delhi, Dr. Sehgal has spent several years teaching the Masters in Finance & Control there.   Has also spent a year at London School of Economics - Department of Accounting and finance, for post-doctoral research on Multi factor asset Pricing model.  During his tenure at LSE he had been involved in teaching various courses in the Department of Accounting & Finance. 

He has completed two major research projects on Mutual Fund Performance Evaluation and Asset Pricing and recently authored a book entitled “Asset Pricing in Indian market”.   He has written about 30 research papers that have been published in leading finance journals. Many of these research papers have been presented in Finance conferences held in India and abroad.

He acts as a resource person for EDP Programmes organised by Stock Holding Corporation of India (SCHI), ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Institute of Cost and Works Accountant (ICWA), National Institute of Financial management (NIFM) etc. His fields of specialisation are Investment Analysis, Portfolio Management and Financial Econometrics.


Dr. M. M. Anand

Former Dean and Head, Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.

He is a product of Lucknow University, University of Delhi and Stanford University.

After finishing his studies he had a brief stint in a   large commercial establishment as he was sponsored by the University of Delhi to Join the Stanford University. After completing the programme he joined the faculty as a lecturer and retired as a professor of marketing management. He has been associated with FMS since 1961 when he joined as a part time student. He also worked at National Institute of Training in Industrial Engineering known as NITIE at Bombay and at International Management Institute, New Delhi.

He has been actively involved in consultancy, training  and research. He has been a consultant  to Ford Foundation, Indian Airlines, JKs and other organizations. He has also served on the Boards of a number of public sector organizations including ITDC (India Tourism Development Corporation), Burn Standard, Calcutta, and Indian rare Earth, Malt India ltd etc.

Prof Anand is the author of two books and has published a number of articles in reputed journals. Besides he has presented a number of papers at various International and national conferences


Dr. Rajesh Chadha

Senior Fellow / Chief Economist: National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER)

With more than 31 years (28 years at the University of Delhi (1976-2004) of teaching and research experience, Dr. Rajesh Chadha has also been the Senior Counsellor (Operations) and Secretary at NCAER between  August 2005 and May 2007.

Dr. Chadha has a specialisation in international trade with significant experience in applied economic research and economic modelling. He has taught at various places including IIT, Delhi; IIT, Roorkee; IEG, Delhi; IIFT, New Delhi; IIPA, New Delhi; and AIMA, New Delhi.

He is a Visiting Scholar to the Department of Economics, University of Michigan (UM), USA and the Department of Economics, University of Melbourne, Australia; and Consultant to the World Bank and to the Australian Government.

GTAP Research Fellow: Nominated for 2004-2007 by the Purdue University, West Lafayette. The only Indian economist to receive this honour instituted since 1996.
